Overlake Medical Center is currently seeking a caring, compassionate, EP Tech to assist the Electrophysiologist in complex Electrophysiology (EP) procedures. Provides clinical and technology support to the physician in geometric mapping and treatment of various arrhythmias, as well as scrubbing, circulating, and monitoring during electrophysiology procedures. As needed, may assist cardiologists and radiologists in the various diagnostic and interventional procedures performed in the Cardiac Cath Laboratory and Vascular Interventional Radiology.

High school Diploma or GED required.
Minimum of an Associates degree or certificate through an accredited Radiology or Cardiovascular Technology (CVT) program required.
ARRT (R) Registry and State Certification as Radiologic Technologist (RT) required; or, for CVTs, Registered Cardiovascular Invasive Specialist (RCIS) or Registered Cardiovascular Electrophysiology Specialist (RCES) is required within 6 months of hire.
CPR and ACLS certification is required.
Certified Electrophysiology Specialist (CEPS) through the International Board of Heart Rhythm Examiners (IBHRE) required - for EP II
For EP II - Minimum of three (3) years experience in an electrophysiology laboratory required -
Minimum of one year experience in an electrophysiology laboratory, cardiac catheterization laboratory, or cardiac surgery required.
24 CME credits required bi-annually.
Familiar with Cardiac Resynchronization Therapy and intracardiac ultrasound procedures required.
Knowledge of air embolus, cardiac perforation, and cardiac tamponade required.
Knowledge of cardiac pacing including intervals, programming and testing required.
Understand properties and use of the multiple catheter types specific to different arrhythmias and their treatment required.
Must be able to move quickly throughout the hospital.
Must endure long periods of standing while scrubbed in for procedures.
Manual dexterity is required to operate equipment and perform patient care.
Possible exposure to and contact with body fluids.
