The epilepsy program is located in a beautiful coastal sunny southwest Florida medium sized city in a large tri-city metropolitan area with stunning, white sandy beaches recognized as some of the most beautiful in the world, a vibrant downtown on Tampa Bay, sport teams and numerous opportunities for outdoor activities (kayaking, biking) and cultural activities. There is no state income tax.
The medical director is internationally known for his expertise in the surgical management of epilepsy and for his enthusiasm for teaching. We are a detailed oriented program which integrates seizure semiology analysis with EEG, functional imaging (PET, MEG and SPECT) and detailed state of the art 3T MRI. The program does Stereo-EEG and the medical director works closely with the technologist on these cases from surgical planning, implantation to monitoring. The program's epilepsy surgeon has superb surgical skill, is personable and also enjoys teaching. The technologist will have a close one on one working relationship with the medical director and the epilepsy surgeon.

Minimum of five years clinical experience in EEG/EP, including intraoperative monitoring in all modalities
Minimum of two years experience with intra-cranial EEG monitoring; extra-operative and intra-operative cortical stimulation mapping, electrocorticography and WADA testing. Performs job functions following the “Guidelines for EEG and Long Term Neuro-diagnostic Monitoring in Epilepsy” as set down by the American Society of Electro-neuro-diagnostic Technologists. Minimum of three years clinical experience at a level IV Epilepsy Surgical Center in the video monitoring of patients for Pre-surgical evaluation, Seizure classification, Diagnostic monitoring
CPR/Basic Life Support (BLS Certification from American Red Cross)
