Team member of department at assigned sites for all areas of neurodiagnostics services performed at Prevea as well as St. Vincent and St. Mary’s Hospitals. On-call coverage is shared among team members. Responsible for self-development, individual and team customer service, quality improvement and supporting of both department and organization initiatives. Responsible for setting up and performing routine, ambulatory, long term and other EEG exams, intraoperative monitoring, nerve conduction studies and evoked potential studies on patients of all ages. Monitors and assists with EEG data processing.
Perform routine, ambulatory, long term, ECS and other EEG exams, IOM, NCS, EPs, and other needed testing as required
Ensure day-to-day operations of assigned site departments to assure a high level of productively and customer service
Maintain the quality of exams, procedures and services
Knowledge of safety hazards common to neurodiagnostics including equipment, body mechanics and patient care
Perform quality control procedures and maintains records to help obtain accreditations as needed
Work closely with the other departments’ teams and leaders as needed to ensure departments’ processes provide quality patient care and customer service
Knowledge of neurodiagnostics documentation and coding regulations
Graduate of an accredited electroneurodiagnostics program
Registered or registry eligible in one of the following EEG, NCS or Eps. Successful registration is required within 2 years of employment
Prefer CNIM certification or ability and willingness to certify in the next 24 months
Experience in intraoperative monitoring preferred, but will train the right candidate
