Registered Respiratory Therapist/Polysomnographic Technologist Sleep Diagnostic and Treatment Center
The James J. Peters Veterans Affairs Medical Center is seeking for a Polysomnographic Technologist/RRT for the Sleep Diagnostic & Treatment Center. The ideal candidate should have experience in the conduction of sleep study procedures, specifically overnight polysomnography, including patient hook-up, calibration of complex sleep recording equipment, polysomnographic analysis, trouble shooting, and sleep staging.
Experience in the performance of witnessed overnight polysomnography; accreditation by the Board of Registered Polysomnographic Technologists a plus. Tour of duty – three night shifts per week (80-hour biweekly tour).
Must have a certificate as an RRT from the NBRC (National Board for Respiratory Care) and a registry number, or a certificate from another body which the NBRC recognizes as its credentialing equivalent.
U.S. Citizenship and English Language Proficiency are required.

For example, the James J. Peters VAMC SCI Patient Care Center is the referral point for VISN’s 2, 3 and 4 as well as Department of Defense (DOD) new SCI patients.
