Under general supervision of the chief technician and medical director of the EEG Lab, performs Electroencephalographs to obtain data for use in the diagnosis of clinical disorders of the nervous system. Ability to perform Evoked Potentials and Long-Term Monitoring a plus.
Licensure, Certification, Registration: Registered or registry eligible by ABRET (American Board of Registration of Electroencephalographic and Evoked Potential Technologists)
Skills, Knowledge & Abilities: Knowledge of basic principles of electroencephalographic and evoked potential instrumentation Knowledge of human anatomy/physiology applicable to EEG/EP studies Knowledge of common diseases encountered in the practice of EEG testing Knowledge of proper use of technical instruments involved with conduction of EEG and EP studies. Ability to provide exceptional customer service In the absence of any of these skills, demonstrates the ability to be thoroughly trained to meet organizational standards.
Experience: At least one year in an EEG Lab as a trainee or experience typically associated with the completion of an accredited EEG certification program
DAYS, M-F, On Call hours 1-2 nights a week with rotating weekends
Additional Salary Information: Hourly rate is offered commensurate with experience.
