Children’s Healthcare of Atlanta is actively seeking an experienced Neurophysiology Manager, to join our Neurosciences team. In this position, you will be responsible for Neurophysiology operations, profit & loss, technical training, technical quality assurance, and data & reporting. The ideal candidate will be registered by the American Board of Electroneurodiagnostic Technologists (ABRET), display technical and management skills, and act as a clinical resource for the neurophysiology team. The candidate will partner with all physicians, inpatient unit/department leaders, outpatient clinic managers, and physician practice management team. He or she will also proactively support efforts that ensure delivery of high quality patient care and services.
Manages all operational aspects across multiple locations, including fiscal responsibility, staff retention, patient satisfaction, quality, performance improvement, and staff development.
Ensure neurophysiology technicians are trained and/or maintain required level of proficiency for set up, monitoring, etc.
Monitors and manages access to neurophysiology services to ensure appropriate and timely access to diagnostic testing and other assessments.
Collaborates with medical staff and all levels of hospital personnel to assure high-quality, efficient, cost effective care.
Ensures accuracy of charges and documentation for all services provided by employed and/or contracted neurophysiology staff.
Mentor team members to encourage personal and professional growth.
Responsible for all aspects of managing and leading a team including: interviewing, hiring, training, developing, directing work and processes, managing performance, recognizing, and rewarding employees.
Supports Physician Leaders and Medical Directors in the service line to develop neurophysiology pathways that improve quality of care and medical outcomes.
Bachelors degree in a related field
ABRET Certified Electroencephalographic Technologist (REEGT) in addition to a second neurodiagnostic credential including but not limited to:
CLTM (strongly preferred)
Basic Life Support (BLS) within 30 days of employment
At least 5 years technical neurophysiology
At least 2 years of experience in a management or administrative role
