The primary role of the Neurodiagnostics Unit Supervisor is to oversee all inpatient and outpatient operations of the Hartford Hospital EEG lab – the home of the Ayer Neuroscience Institute/ Hartford HealthCare Epilepsy Monitoring Unit. The Unit Supervisor will work closely with the Neurodiagnostics Lab Manager, Epilepsy Medical Director and Information Technology personnel while overseeing day to day lab operations such as assigning tech daily duties, expediting high quality care to inpatients, and maintaining computer functions.
An important goal for our team in 2019 is achievement of level 4 status, the highest level designation given by NAEC for a comprehensive epilepsy center. As part of this goal, the Unit Supervisor will have a direct role in developing key milestones such as ictal SPECT and intracranial EEG programs.
Our lab environment is one of continuous education, with an emphasis on strong onboarding of new techs, moving techs along their personal path to registration, and gaining knowledge every day through our work and shared experiences. We seek a leader who will thrive in this culture and contribute to our development as we continue to expand our capabilities.
Required • College degree (associates or higher) • Registered EEG technologist • Strong written and verbal communication skills • Experience with maintenance and troubleshooting of EEG software and hardware Desired: • Leadership experience • Experience with intracranial EEG
