Medical practice seeking EEG Tech (Bowie Maryland)
The position requires reviewing 24, 48 or 72 hour video ambulatory EEG studies. The EEG Tech will prepare the study for the reading neurologist by marking abnormalities, questionable abnormalities, events documented and not documented by the patient. Also make note of normal variants and captures clean samples of awake and sleep recording on each test day. The scanning technologist will be required to write a technologist summary of the study, and performing administrative items related to data communication to the interpretive physician.
High school graduation or equivalent; Associate's Degree in ElectroneurodiagnosticTechnology preferred.
Knowledge, Skills & Abilities
Ability to recognize emergency medical situations. Ability to manage time effectively by setting priorities. Verbal and written communication skills. Basic computer skills preferred.
