The inaugural program chair will oversee the development and implementation of a Neurodiagnostic technology program with certificate and associate degree options. With a full-time clinical faculty member, the program chair will be responsible for the delivery of high-quality and comprehensive instruction in didactic, laboratory, and clinical learning settings. As the college continues to meet current workforce needs, the program chair has the opportunity to build an innovative program with the full support of our clinical partners. Students will complete clinical experiences in various locations within Atrium Health, one of the nation’s top healthcare settings.

Job Summary The Chair meets regularly with the faculty team; visits classes; assigns faculty workloads; and actively participates in committee meetings. The Chair initiates new clinical affiliations, ensures all contracts are current, and assures contract requirements are met (when applicable). The Chair anticipates and recommends program resource needs; develops, implements, and monitors program budgets; and ensure policies and procedures guide and support the program. The Chair attends regional and national meetings; prepares College, accreditation, and regulatory agency reports; and ensures program compliance with accreditation standards.

Program Management: Responsible for quality management of the program
Curriculum Planning, Development, and Implementation: Oversees the planning, development, and implementation of curriculum in accordance with emerging trends and approval/accrediting agencies.
Enrollment Management: Collaborates with admissions and student affairs staff to recruit, select, and retain students.
Resource Management: Anticipates and recommends needed resources.
Budget Management: Develops, implements, and monitors program budgets.
Program Guidance: Develops and implements policies and procedures to guide and support the program.
Maintains professional competence, including system-and college-assigned requirements.
Physical Requirements Normal or corrected auditory and visual acuity. Able to use standard office equipment, including computers. Environment is climate controlled with occasional exposure to inclement weather when travelling between buildings. Occasional travel to other locations.
Education, Experience and Certifications A Bachelor's degree from a CAAHEP-accredited Neurodiagnostic Technology Program OR a Bachelor's degree in a related field (e.g. Education, Public Health, Health Science, Administration, Organizational Psychology) is required. Current R. EEG T. credential required; R.EP T., CLTM, CNIM, R.NCS. T., RPSGT, or DABNM preferred.
Five years clinical and/or teaching experience required.
Knowledge of and experience with program and institutional accreditation processes preferred.
Excellent leadership, management, technology, and organizational skills.
Proficient in curriculum design, program administration, evaluation, instruction, and student advising.
Excellent classroom presentation and clinical instructional skills.
Management skills and experience preferred.
Strong oral, written, and interpersonal communication skills.
Excellent critical thinking and decision-making skills.
Strong computer skills and general knowledge of office equipment.
Congenial and able to inspire confidence in others.
Additional requirements as deemed necessary by individual program accrediting bodies.
