Swedish Medical Group is looking for an EMG Technician (1.0 FTE, Days) to work for the Neurology Clinic at Swedish Cherry Hill in Seattle, WA.
The EMG Technician is responsible for measuring electrical activity in peripheral nerves using an electromyography instrument for use by physician in diagnosing and treating neuromuscular disorders.
In this position you will: • Perform various neurological tests and procedures to identify potential problems for patients in the lab, the operating room and at the patient’s bedside • Ensure all tests performed meet the standards set by SNI neurologists • Maintain up-to-date patient record requirements • Assist with administrative operational clerical duties such as producing reports, filing, completing forms, developing new forms and new change slips as needed • Clean and maintain equipment in good working condition at all times • Answer phone and keep appointment schedule • Restock exam rooms on a daily basis ensuring the supplies are in the appropriate drawers • Perform other duties as assigned
Qualifications: Required qualifications for this position include: • High school graduate or GED • Graduate of an accredited EMG program or equivalent • Current CPR certification • Minimum two years experience
Preferred qualifications for this position include: • Registered EMG Technologist • Working knowledge of test interpretation, techniques and AEEG standards • Understanding of medical terminology
