Neurodiagnostic Technologist

We are seeking a Fulltime, M-F, 8 Hour – Daytime,  Neurodiagnostic Technologist to perform Electroencephalograms (EEG), Nerve Conduction Studies (NCS) and limited Evoked Potentials (VEPs).

The work environment is in an outpatient neurology clinic and at our local hospital. Patients include all age groups.

Job duties: 

Perform Neurodiagnostic testing in accordance with the competencies and guidelines set forth by ASET, (The American Society of Electrodiagnostic Technologists) including, but not limited to:

• Electroencephalogram (EEG): Applies electrodes according to the 10-20 system. Records waveforms and utilizes appropriate activation procedures. Recognizes artifacts and patterns of significance and alerts physician accordingly.
• Nerve Conduction Studies (NCS): Applies electrodes to appropriate anatomical sites, and obtains clear and accurate waveform, latencies, amplitudes and velocities according to the physician instructions.
• Evoked Potentials (VEP only): Applies electrodes, utilizes appropriate stimulation and retrieves the data.
• Effectively coordinates testing in a timely manner.
• Performs established infection control procedures on electrodes and equipment.
• Maintains necessary paperwork, duties and organization to keep the testing running efficiently.
• Maintains a safe and clean work environment, troubleshoots equipment and alerts appropriately if mechanical or electrical problems.
