Job SummaryWill perform EEG procedures according to facility policy and procedures. During procedures for which competence has not been achieved, the technician will train under direct technical supervision.Job DutiesIs knowledgeable in correct EEG performance and recognition of clinically significant events and follows facility policy and procedures regarding critical test results.Maintains the patients' safety through communication to other patient care support staff during EEG if needed.Continues to learn and apply basic and intermediate EEG waveform recognition, relevant medical terminology, anatomy, physiology, infection control, current HIPPA practices, contraindications for activation procedures, instrumentation and preparation for use
