Medical Instrument Technician-Electroencephalography (Neurology)
The Medical Instrument Technician (EEG) is a member of the Neurology diagnostic testing and clinical team and supports Neurology residents and attending staff in routine and complex Neurologic testing procedures under general supervision of the physician. EEG/EMG technologist shall have an extensive background in neurophysiology recording technology with proficiency in patient care. Knowledge of anticonvulsant medications and their effects on the EEG as well as other frequently used pharmaceuticals. Responsible for reviewing patient history as it relates to epilepsy and neuromuscular disorders. You will perform various stimulus procedures during EEG procedures including hyperventilation and photic stimulation, unless contraindicated. Responsible for safe and proper operation of all equipm
