SUBFUNCTION DEFINITION: To perform electroencephalographs (EEG), evoked potentials (EP), neurotelemetry, video/EEG monitoring, ambulatory monitoring, routine topographic brain mapping studies, multiple sleep latency test (MSLT), in the laboratory and at the bedside of patients.
Scope: 10+ direct/indirect reports
REPRESENTATIVE RESPONSIBILITIES
Operational Management Provide support for maintaining calendars, coordinating meetings, coordinating travel and troubleshooting issues. Participate as department/division representative at meetings, relay relevant information and provide necessary follow up. Serve as point of contact for information concerning activities of the administrative function. Take ownership of issues and concerns communicated to the department/division and provide follow up to bring issues to conclusion. Ensure appropriate operational information regarding the department/division is communicated to appropriate staff. Develop and maintain cooperative relationships with other Cincinnati Children's departments and outside agencies with which the department interacts. Provide oversight for the organization of files and records, the inventory of office supplies, and the processing of requisitions.
Policies & Practices Ensures policies and practices are understood and followed by team. May provide changes or recommendations as necessary.
Compliance Maintain compliance with applicable federal, state, and local regulatory requirements, such as JCAHO, HIPAA, and/or other accreditation standards. Design and/or implement programs, policies, and/or procedures to ensure compliance. Track laws and regulations that might affect policies and procedures. May prepare compliance reports and communicate results as necessary.
People Planning Conduct ongoing evaluation and mentoring of direct reports, including effective, clear, and timely annual performance evaluation. Ensure staff is properly trained to perform job functions. Determine and monitor implementation of continuing education goals of the department and provide educational opportunities for department staff. Ensure departmental and Medical Center initiatives, priorities, standards, and policies are effectively communicated and understood by direct and indirect reports.
Qualifications
EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE
Required:
Bachelor's degree in a related field or equivalent combination or education and experience
3-5 years of work experience in a related job discipline
. At least two EEG Tech Certifications including, but not limited to: R. EEG T., R. EP T., CNIM, CLTM, CMEG
