SUMMARY OF POSITION:
Responsible to collaborate with the Neurophysiology Manager in the creation and organization of training programs, quality assurance/improvement programs and other departmental projects. Act as a resource, coach, and mentor to other Neurophysiology staff members. Perform all aspects (routine and non-routine) of various neurodiagnostic testing procedures on patients of various ages and medical conditions. Work independently utilizing a variety of sophisticated instruments and demonstrate good judgment and decision making in the treatment and handling of the individual patient. Continually identify opportunities for continuous improvement of processes and services.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
Applicable candidate will meet scenario A or B: Either (A) Associates Degree in Health Sciences with a Certificate in the Program of Neurophysiology plus 3 years of experience working in the PSHMC Neurophysiology Lab or (B) 5 years of related job experience with 3 of those years of experience working in the PSHMC Neurophysiology Lab required
Applicable professional certification/credential (i.e: R.EEG.T, R.NDT, R.PSGT, R.LTMN, etc.) required
ADDITIONAL REQUIREMENTS:Â
Successful completion of BLS and ACLS required
Competency in multiple electrode application techniques required
Positive interpersonal skills with patients, families, lab staff, physicians, and other members of the hospital staff required
Basic computer skills required
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:Â
Enrollment in or graduation from a Commission on Accreditation of Allied Health Education Programs (CAAHEP) accredited Electroneurodiagnostic (END Program), or an Associate's Degree or higher from an accredited college or university is preferred
Successful completion of Part I of ABRET exam preferred
