The employee in this position functions as a "generalist" in the various sections of the laboratory. The technologist may work in areas such as hematology (including coagulation), bacteriology, mycology, virology, parasitology, immunology, serology, immunohematology, clinical chemistry (including endocrinology and toxicology), urinalysis, blood bank and phlebotomy. To qualify for this position, applicants must meet all requirements by the closing date of this announcement. Applicants pending the completion of educational or certification/licensure requirements may be referred and tentatively selected but may not be hired until all requirements are met.
